VITO Energy Engineering and Construction wins key North Field expansion work

Qatar: VITO Energy Engineering and Construction Co has recently commenced the execution of a multi-disciplinary construction scope within the North Field expansion project in Qatar.

The RLTO Expansion and Off-Plot Facilities of the North Field Expansion Project (EPC-3) – NFS CLLNG Balance of Plant (BoP) Project in Qatar was awarded to the company with execution duration of 21 months by QatarEnergy, with Técnicas Reunidas, SA acting as the EPC contractor.

Under the awarded scope, with approximate project value $200 million, VITO is responsible for a range of construction activities including piping prefabrication and erection, steel structure, module erection, equipment erection, electrical and instrumentation works, painting, heat insulation.

Main quantities are as below:

- Steel Structure : 3,100 ton

- Module Erection : 650 ton

- Equipment Erection : 1,200 ton

- Piping : 350,000 WDI

- Painting and Coating : 125,000 sq m

- Heat Insulation : 130,000 sq m

- Cable Tray and Conduit : 160,000 m

- Cable pulling : 960,000 m

- Instrument Installation : 3,500 each

The project forms part of Qatar’s wider North Field Expansion programme and involves coordinated execution across multiple engineering disciplines.

All works are being carried out in accordance with applicable technical specifications, quality standards and safety requirements, supporting the development of key infrastructure for the country’s LNG expansion, said the company.
